I have always believed that people learn a lot more from seeing than by hearing. I trust you will take a moment to see God in your own way. We were put on this earth as children of God, made in the image of God, and there are only two things He asks of us, to love Him and to love one another. It sounds simple, but for some reason we have a hard time with these two things.

I think about a lot of things, but I am sure now that everything is about Love. Not the love of pizza or tennis, but the love that is so desired in the depth of our souls. I decided a while back, I was not going to waste any more of my time, so I began by forgiving, by finding ways to bless my family, my friends, myself, and my God. I did this by reaching out to others, by being vulnerable, being willing to share, to show myself for who I am, and by being grateful.

No one said it had to be so complicated and chaotic. What I realized was I made it that way. It is said, “…the kingdom of God is within you…” and all I had to do to start was to acknowledge and become aware of the Spirit of God in my life, to recognize that the person next to me was no different than me, to be kind, caring, appreciate the earth, the animals, the flowers, the weeds, and learn by asking for guidance along my path.

Our jobs are not who we are. I call that busy work because that is not our purpose, yet it is our responsibility to provide for our families and community so we do not become a burden to others. Our purpose, Our mission, I believe, is to love and we will receive it when we give it.

The title of the book is what happened to me. First, I had to wake up from the fog I had been living in and Open My Eyes. Once I Let Life In, which was allowing God’s entrance, I found peace. Imagine what peace looks like. When you do, be it.
